ONLINE OPTION 1:
STANDARD OPTION WSET LEVEL 2 Award in Wines ONLINE €450 inc IVA.
Learn about wine through a 5-week online self-study programme that is flexible to work with your existing commitments. Minimum of six hours of study per week recommended to successfully complete the course. The Level 2 Award in Wines Online covers the same syllabus as the classroom course but through a supported and interactive WSET Global Online Classroom which allows you to study alongside your peers under the guidance of a dedicated educator. Your monitored exam will take place online. After registration students will receive their WSET ebook, log in details will be forwarded prior to the course start date. Option 1 students must source their own wine.
ONLINE OPTION 2:
ENHANCED FLEXIBLE WSET LEVEL 2 Award in Wines €645 inc IVA (wine provided)
Price includes IVA, five-week self study online course with WSETglobal, WSET ebook and additional online tuition with your Wine Academy Italia tutor. Wine samples delivered to your address in Italy.
We think flexibility is key when studying online. Flexibility allows students to work around their other commitments rather than attending a course at fixed times. The WSET suggest a minimum of six hours of study during each of the five weeks to successfully complete this course.
Wine Academy Italia has enhanced the existing WSET online offering. This option offers:
- 5 weeks of flexible access to the WSET Global online study platform with additional tuition
- WSET ebook study materials
- 2 one-hour online tastings with our Wine Academy Italia tutor via Skype or Zoom
- 1-hour online theory review session with our tutor
- 1-hour online exam preparation session with our tutor
- The option includes a pack of 40 x 2cl wine samples delivered to your address.

Our tutor will taste the same wines with you during your tasting tutorials. These formats also allow students the opportunity to re-taste wines and gain greater understanding.
ONLINE OPTION 3:
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM 3-day course via zoom video conferencing – €645 inc IVA (wine provided)
Our third online option is to attend the Wine Academy Italia virtual classroom hosted by our tutor. This course comprises of 8 two-hour sessions over 3 days and finishes with a video-monitored exam. Course days start at 0930 and finish at 1700. This option also includes additional one to one online tuition.
Once enrolled the WSET ebook will be made available and an international range of 2cl sample bottles for wine tasting will be delivered to your address in advance. These samples have been selected by our specialist supplier in collaboration with the WSET.

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines ONLINE options 1 and 2 are 5-week self-study courses our enhanced WSET Level 2 Award in Wines offers additional content. Option 3 is a three-day virtual classroom course. All exams finish with a monitored online exam.
Each course explores the major grape varieties and important regions that define the world’s key wines in a structured and engaging format. You’ll learn about production, key labelling terminology and major classifications to help you identify wines with confidence. A basic introduction to the main spirits categories is also provided.
As you work through the course you share your learning experience with the rest of the online group, looking at what wine labels tell you about the contents of the bottle and sharing tasting notes. Tasting is an essential part of studying for this course (wine samples not included for option 1, 12 wines supplied with option 2, miniature tasting samples provided for option 3). Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

Do I need any prior knowledge?
No prior knowledge is required. The course is delivered online and in English, therefore, basic computer literacy, internet navigation skills and a good level of English are required.
What are the study options available?
Both WSET Level 2 Wines options are delivered online over five weeks with a minimum of six hours of study per week recommended to successfully complete the course. Regular access and participation are essential. Our enhanced option offers additional online tuition.
Requirements: Students require a suitable device for studying online, compatible web browser and consistent internet access. Students selecting the enhanced option will require access to either Skype™ or Zoom™ video conferencing platforms.
The course includes an attended examination at one of our venues. Details of the dates and locations for these are outlined in the upcoming course dates section. An initial exam date is included in the course details, the venue and date can be changed with at least 21 days notice to any other Wine Academy Italia Level 2 exam day.
Online
Flexible Exam date with Wine Academy Italia in Italy. Five weeks of online study. The cost includes access to the online classroom, study materials, online tuition and examination. The Wine Academy Italia enhanced option includes additional content and supply of wines.
Assessment
At this time the exam is not online, the date and location of the exam are detailed in the course dates. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be completed in one hour. To pass you must correctly answer 55% of the questions. This qualification is Ofqual regulated.

WSET Ebooks
All course prices include WSET ebook materials, access is given once enrollment is complete. WSET ebooks are available via an internet browser or Google Play/Apple Store app’s. Students are responsible for having a compatible device for the download. Access to the ebook is for one year at WSET Levels 1 and 2 and two years for WSET Level 3, this can be extended at additional cost.
